Meet Dr. Doiron
Veterinarian and Founder

Dr. Shannon Doiron worked in general practice for six years and recognized how stressful it could be for patients and their pet parents. While performing at-home euthanasia, she realized pets and their families were much more relaxed at their residence than in a clinic. This inspired her to create Amore Mobile Veterinary Services, where dogs and cats needing minor treatments and wellness care can experience the benefits of personalized veterinary care in their own cozy homes.

Dr. Doiron obtained her undergraduate degree from the University of Connecticut, double majoring in Animal Science and Pathobiology. She then moved to Philadelphia, where she studied at the University of Pennsylvania and received her VMD in 2018. Her clinical interests include preventive medicine, dermatology, and geriatric care.
Dr. Doiron enjoys spending time with her family, reading on the beach, indulging in desserts, and wild rides at amusement parks.

What does "Fear Free" mean?
Our doctor is Fear Free Certified, meaning she has completed a program that teaches techniques designed to reduce fear, anxiety, and stress in pets.

Does the primary owner need to be present during the visit?
Yes. The legal owner of the pet(s) must be at least 18 years of age and present during the entire appointment.

You can send records directly or ask your vet to send them to Amoremobilevet@gmail.com.

We carry most medications, but if there is a needed product that we do not have, a written prescription will be provided to be filled at your preferred pharmacy.
Is it required for my pet to be vaccinated?
An up-to-date rabies vaccination is required for every pet (dogs and cats) over 5 months old to be examined. If your pet does not have proof of a valid rabies vaccination (a signed rabies certificate or medical records), then one will be administered during the appointment. Please note that a rabies tag alone does NOT qualify as proof of vaccination. This is in accordance with GA law.
All other core vaccines are recommended but not required.

How much will my appointment cost?
Every appointment will be charged a travel fee based on location ($45 - $75) as well as an exam/consultation fee per pet ($109). The cost of services will be dependent on the needs of each pet. An estimate can be provided prior to the appointment. You can view cost of services

We offer discounts for military, senior citizens, multi-pet appointments, patient referrals, and payment with Zelle or cash.

What are the accepted methods of payment?
We accept Zelle, cash, check, or credit card.
Do you accept pet insurance?
Pet insurance works differently than human medical insurance. With pet insurance, you pay for services rendered and then get reimbursed if the insurance company covers the services. If you have pet insurance, we recommend double checking what they cover.
Are there services that a traditional vet clinic offers that you do not provide?
At this time, we do not offer x-ray, ultrasound, emergency, surgery, or euthanasia services. You can view a list of emergency clinics at the bottom of this page.
What is considered an emergency?
It's an emergency when your pet experiences seizures, unconsciousness, collapse, multiple episodes of vomiting, large amounts of blood in the stool, difficulty breathing, trauma, uncontrollable bleeding, difficulty urinating, or ingests something toxic. More information on toxins can be found
What should I do if my pet has an emergency?
If your pet is experiencing an emergency, immediately contact an emergency hospital. You can find a list of emergency hospitals
