Peaceful Euthanasia
Loving a pet is so easy. Saying goodbye is so hard.

What to Expect During a Euthanasia Appointment

-
A discussion with Dr. Doiron regarding your pet and the process; all questions answered.
-
A combination of pain medicine and sedative will be administered under the skin with a small needle. This will have your pet deeply relaxed within about 15 minutes.
-
Once your pet is completely asleep, a second medication will be given in a vein. Your pet will not feel this, nor be aware of what is happening. They will pass away within a few minutes.
-
Dr. Doiron will listen to their heart and let you know when they have passed.
-
Aftercare will proceed as already discussed (See options below).

Quality of Life Consultation
If you're unsure if it's the right time for your pet, we offer quality of life assessments. This includes an exam and discussion regarding your pet's health and comfort. We can provide recommended options and guide you so that you're comfortable with the decision; whether it be to move forward with euthanasia or provide palliative care.
