Policies

Medical Records

A copy of your pet’s previous medical record is required prior to the first visit. You can email the records directly or have your veterinarian forward a copy to Amoremobilevet@gmail.com.

Rabies Vaccine

An up-to-date rabies vaccination is required for every pet (dogs and cats) over 5 months of age to be examined. If your pet does not have proof of a valid rabies vaccination (a signed rabies certificate or medical records), then one will be administered during the appointment. Please note that a rabies tag alone does NOT qualify as proof of vaccination. This is in accordance with GA law.

Cancellations

Please give at least 24hrs advance notice if you need to cancel an appointment. This gives us the ability to help another pet.

Payment

Payment is due at the time services are rendered. An estimate can be provided prior to all services. At this time, we accept cash, checks, credit card and Zelle. Please note that Care Credit is NOT accepted.

Safety

Safety is our first priority; for yourself, your pet and our staff. This means that a muzzle will be used during uncomfortable procedures and during the exam if our doctor feels it necessary. We are Fear Free and will do our very best to make every appointment as comfortable as possible, but safety will not be risked. If we cannot safely place a muzzle on your pet or if we are not able to safely handle your pet with a muzzle, we will not perform any more services and instead have a discussion about what future services might work better for your pet. You will still be charged for whatever services are rendered including the travel fee as well as the consultation fee.

Services

At this time, Amore Mobile Veterinary Services does not offer x-rays, ultrasound, euthanasia, surgery or emergency care. Referral to a full service clinic may be recommended if heavy sedation, surgery, or advanced diagnostics/imaging are needed.
